As noted in this thread, there are several people that have had no issues. However, if you look at the stats BMW is well down for reliability. Ironically, the best model is the M3. :thumbup: We've had several minor issuesfaulty amp, 2 egr valves, rear bumper clips, low def, frozen def delivery systemin 18 months.

The most reliable BMW X5 model years are the 2000, 2005, and 2016 (or newer) models. All years are pretty good but if you go for any of the three aforementioned models, you get vehicles with relatively few consumer complaints, solid build quality, and powerful engine options.
